Desk Phone Teleworker Mode

Summary: This will guide you through configuring your Mitel phone for teleworker mode. Teleworker mode will allow you to use your desk phone remotely. You can also use teleworker mode if our main internet goes down to get your desk phone back up and running.

  1. Connect your phone to the internet
  2. Press the Settings key () and navigate to Voice Services
  3. Select MiVoice Border Gateway and select Next
  4. Enter 208.187.24.46 as the Server Address and press Save
  5. If you’re on the OHS campus, you'll also need to do the following:
    1. Under the Settings menu, press the Advanced soft key and enter the password (Contact IT)
    2. Navigate to Network and scroll down to VLAN Settings
    3. Under VLAN Id, enter 0 and Save
  6. Reboot the phone and enter the TW password when prompted (Contact IT).
  7. You’re now in teleworker mode!
  1. When you’re done in teleworker mode, remove the IP address from MiVoice Border Gateway above and delete 0 from the VLAN Id.
