Summary: This document will walk you through troubleshooting some common issues encountered when operating the computer in Ehmann’s Classroom

Turning It on / off

  1. Plug in the power strip that’s on the back of the TV cart
  2. Confirm that the power strip switch is on (Fig 1)
  3. Turn on the TV by holding down the power switch located in the lower left hand corner of the TV (Fig 2)
  4. Turn on the PC and wait for it to finish starting up
  5. When done using the TV, reverse this process

No Picture on Screen

  1. Confirm that the TV, power strip, and computer are turned on
  2. If it seems like the TV is set to the wrong input, you can change the input by tapping the button located in the lower left hand corner of the TV (Fig . Note that holding down this button will turn the TV off

 

No Internet / Network Access

  1. Confirm the USB antenna on the front of the computer is plugged in and the red light is illuminated. If not, unplug it and plug it back in (Fig 3)
  2. Double-click REALTEK USB Wireless LAN Utility on the desktop
  3. Confirm that Status shows Associated. If not, click ReNew IP

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mouse Unresponsive

  1. Confirm the device is on. The mouse (Fig 4) has a light on the bottom. If the switch is on, but there is no light, replace the batteries

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clicker Remote Unresponsive

  1. Confirm the device is on. The clicker remote has a power switch on the side (Fig 5)

Keyboard Unresponsive

  1. Confirm the device is on. The keyboard has a small on/off switch located near the top right (Fig 6). If it’s on and unresponsive, plug it in to the computer using the nearby USB cable
