Summary: Ed Hall is equipped with a projector, a PC in the closet in the rear of the room, an HDMI port for connecting laptops near the front of the room, and a wireless microphone.

 

Shown in the image below, at the front of the room, to the left of the project screen, is a panel with a number of ports on it (1). Here is where you can plug in a laptop to the HDMI port, or the VGA port. Note: The VGA port will not transfer audio.

If you don’t have access to one, you can find an HDMI cord in the closet at the back of the room. You can also find a PowerPoint clicker in the closet. The receiver for the clicker is up front by the screen. The clicker is pictured to the right.

 

 

On the wall by the door, there are three panels: From left to right, they are 1) the light switch, 2) the projector screen controls, and 3) speaker volume.

 

 

 

 

The picture to the right shows the projector remote (1), the wireless keyboard and mouse (2) which controls the PC in the closet, and the HDMI / VGA / Clicker ports on the wall (3). Note: When turning on the projector, give it a minute to come on.

1. This displays the current out put selection. The first number shows what input is going to the projector.

The numbers in the image above show you were each step references. To change the input do the following:

1. Select input from the top row of white buttons: 1^st button = PC , 2^nd button = The HDMI port on the wall , 3^rd button = DirectTV
2. Select the output you want it to go to by pressing the first button in the second row.
3. Press take to submit your selection. You should see the first number on the display change to your selection.

There are two PCs in Ed Hall closet, to change which one is connected to the monitor in the closet use the switch below the monitor. A picture of it is below. To use the PC connected to the Ed Hall projector press PC2. To use the PC controlling the sign out front press PC1.

There is also a DirectTV box in Ed Hall. To access it, make sure that PC is selected on the grey “K” Presentation Switcher device near the top, and change the Monoprice switcher shown below to the TV option.
